People like Battlefield 1. How do I know this? Because, it’s beta drew in a record-breaking player count.
EA revealed that the World War One shooter brought in over 13 million players across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC over the course of its runtime from August 30th to September 8th.
The beta breaks the previous record by 4 million players previously set last year by Star Wars Battlefront.
EA also provided cool tidbits such as 23.2 million railroad kills, and that the assault class was the most chosen class. You can find much more information here.
DICE Senior Producer Aleks Grondal also thanked fans for their participation in the beta earlier this month and for the valuable feedback that was provided. Grondal added that the team is currently “poring over the data and will adjust the game accordingly,” with Grondal specifically mentioning that the Light Tank “performed a little too well” and will be adjusted for the game’s final release.
Battlefield 1 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21st, 2016.
My Opinion:
It appears Call of Duty has a real run for its money this year. And Titanfall 2 has a second pair of hands to lower it into its casket.
