Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer to their new game based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft, Call of Cthulhu.
The trailer shows a bit more about the story and some of the environments you’ll be exploring. Call of Cthulhu is a RPG/Stealth/Horror game that blends the genres to present the story. Inspired by the works of Cosmic Horror writer, H.P. Lovecraft, it follows an investigator as he searches for clues on how an artist died. The more he digs deeper into the mystery, the further away from sanity he becomes.
Call of Cthulhu is releasing sometime in 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
My Opinion:
I hope this game is good. While it’s not as high as my most anticipated games of the year list, I am keeping an eye on it. It’s not often we see a Lovecraftian game that is based on his work. So far, they seem to nail the atmosphere, but for games, it needs something more than that.
Jesse Webster is a senior writer at Middle of Nowhere Gaming and needs to keep writing.
Beyond obviously it being a Lovecraft adaptation, is this related in any way to Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth? I never played it, but it was meant to be a solid take on adapting Shadow Over Innsmouth into survival horror.

No. I don’t think so. From what I’ve seen from Call of Cthulhu, it’s using the foundation of the original story and making their own.
