There used to be a time when Full Motion Video (FMV) was considered the next big thing in video games. One of the signature games that defined that trend was Night Trap, and surprisingly it is returning this spring.
Screaming Villains is bringing the game back in the form of Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition. Originally released on the Sega CD in 1992, this remastered edition will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime this spring. The PS4 version will even see a limited physical release courtesy of Limited Run Games. For those not familiar with Night Trap, here’s an overview.
Night Trap tells the story of five teenage girls spending the weekend at the Martin home. As a member of the Special Control Attack Team, your job is to monitor the home and protect the girls using an intricate system of cameras and traps as it is being invaded by vampires.

Never played the original game, but remember reading about it in EGM during my youth. While Night Trap is supposed to be bad, the premise is so bizarre and cheesy it might be entertaining to play for the right price.
