RIVE Announced for PC and Consoles

RIVE, Two Tribes’ latest indie title, has been announced, and it looks crazy.News comes by way of Two Tribes’ Twitter after a week long teasing campaign.

The game is described as a 2D shooter platformer. The game will feature “metal wracking, robot hacking” gameplay (whatever exactly that means) and focus on old-school gameplay concepts. During the game’s intense 360 degree shooting and platforming action, players learn to alter the behavior of their robotic enemies by collecting and uploading hacks.

Check out the announcement trailer which shows off some of the crazy gameplay:

The game will be released sometime in 2015, however it will be playable at this year’s upcoming Gamescom. The game is going to release for PC and “consoles”. Though the exact consoles haven’t been revealed yet, Two Tribes told us they are hoping to release on all three current gen platforms.

My Opinion:

This is fantastic news! I am a huge fan of Two Tribes, and am glad to see they are handling their “reboot” well. RIVE looks like it has the perfect mix of action and addictive gameplay to get me hooked forever.
