Assassin’s Creed Unity Confirmed

Ubisoft confirmed this morning what was rumored earlier this week: Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Also just as was rumored, it appears that Unity will take place in France this time around.  Ubisoft confirmed the rumors with a trailer this morning that showed off alpha footage of the game.

The trailer also reveals that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC during the holiday season this year.

A press release from Ubisoft explained that Unity has been in development for more than three years, and the only reason the trailer was released was because of the leaked information this week, which they blamed on Abstergo. (lol)

There is still no word on the other rumored Assassin’s Creed game said to be released this year that is code named Assassin’s Creed Comet.

We will have more details as soon as they are revealed.

My Opinion:

Just as I said when the rumor broke earlier this week, this is awesome news.  I love the idea that the next game will take place during the French Revolution.  I also love the idea that this entry in the series will only be on current gen consoles.  That means they were able to build it to be as best as it possibly can be at this time!  Holiday season can’t come soon enough!
