Coming off the coattails of Child of Light (Read our review of it here), Ubisoft recently revealed the release date for their upcoming puzzle game Valiant Hearts: The Great War. The game is slated to release come June 25th for $14.99 on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio who brought us games such as Rayman Origins and Beyond Good & Evil, look to be delivering a quality game yet again. Valiant Hearts will focus around the lives of five distinct characters as they try to survive through a dramatization of World War I. Inspired by real letters found after the war, this game holds a twinge of realism. Valiant Hearts also has a unique art style, very reminiscent of a crude whimsy cartoon that really exemplifies the war narrative.
I’m a huge history buff, and World War I is one of my favorite history topics. The stylization of the game looks incredible, and it’s based on real letters from the time, which is amazing. Ubisoft is going into the Indie-esque realm, and I love it.
