Microsoft’s CEO Claims Xbox Isn’t Going Anywhere

Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s newly appointed CEO, has claimed that he has no plans to sell off the Xbox division

Satya Nadella was speaking at the Code Conference when he was asked about the future of Xbox, Nadella stated that, “I have no intent to do anything different with Xbox than we are doing today.”

This comes after several investors have stated they want Microsoft to get rid of the Xbox brand. However, Bill Gates – Founder of Microsoft and Technology Advisor to Satya Nadella – has already claimed that he will respect Satya Nadella’s decision and will agree with it.

My Opinion:

This is not a surprise. Satya Nadella was working for the cloud and online services – which includes Xbox Live –  for Microsoft for 13 years prior  becoming CEO. Nadella has already claimed that he wants Microsoft to be mobile and cloud first, so why would he ever considering getting rid of a major Microsoft brand?
