Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.3: Trailer Reveal

Earlier today, Square Enix released it’s newest trailer for Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming patch, Defenders of Eorzea.

The trailer highlights new features set to be coming to the game including large-scale PvP, new dungeons, a fight with the Lord of the Levin, Ramuh, Chocobo Raising, and much more!

Defenders of Eorzea is currently set to hit on July 8th following a 24 hour maintenance. If you haven’t played for a while and want to get a taste of what’s been going on in Eorzea since you’ve left, Square Enix teased a Welcome Back Campaign that will allow players with previously inactive Final Fantasy XIV accounts to log in free of charge on July 11th – 14th.

My Opinion:

I’m super excited. The large-scale PvP looks amazing. Ramuh’s beard is basically everything I’ve ever wanted. And, it even looks like we’ll get our first true look at Zodiark and what he’s been up to since the release of the game. I’m really hoping this patch starts to tie-up some of the loose story threads so that we can start to see the big picture. Either way, new content is never a bad thing, and July 8th can’t come soon enough!
