Everyone has been fiending to know more about From Software’s newest title Bloodborne for quite some time. Luckily for us, Gamescom has brought us a new trailer that details the story a bit and shows us more of what this spiritual successor to the Souls franchise will bring us.
This creepily narrated trailer shows us some new things that will be tossed into Bloodborne (besides the fast combat and giant straight razor). This trailer lets players get a closer look at some of the new weaponry in the game, from the heavy shotgun to the collapsible scythe.
On top of that, it gives us the chance to see a bit more of the grotesque (yet beautiful) enemies that we’ll be chopping our way through when Bloodborne drops into our consoles.
We got the chance to see more of the zombie-esque villagers, two beastly looking werewolf-like creatures, and a towering behemoth of a hairy monster, who picks up the player character with one hand. Though the trailer ends there, I can only assume the worst.
Bloodborne will be coming to a PlayStation 4 near you sometime next year.
My Opinion:
When Bloodborne was first teased, I couldn’t find a care in the world to offer it. I liked the Souls series, but people were absolutely losing their minds over this. If I ever had one qualm with Souls, it was the pacing. Yes, slow and steady worked for the series, but I tend to like to move fast and do big damage. It looks like Bloodborne is completely ready to bring me that experience with the rewarding level of difficulty that Souls made a fortune off of. If I haven’t reserved Bloodborne already (I have so many I forget), I’m definitely planning to.
