GameStop Is Selling Used GameCube’s Again

This morning, GameStop has announced that they are selling refurbished GameCubes. The sale won’t last long, and will last until stock has run out. GameStop is selling the Nintendo GameCube used for $19.99.

What you’ll get when buying a used GameCube is the system, one controller, one AC cable, and one standard cable. Unfortunately, it won’t come with a memory card, or at least one GameCube game.

The Nintendo GameCube was released in North America on November 18, 2001 and since then has become one of the most well-liked Nintendo systems. The GameCube had a few classics in its library including Resident Evil: Remake, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and Metroid Prime.

In 2007, Nintendo stopped production of the GameCube to make room for its successor, the Nintendo Wii, which was released in 2006.

My Opinion:

I’m strangely excited by this. One of the big games I’ve never had a chance to play was the Resident Evil remake, which was just announced a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I might get the GameCube version and get the new Resident Evil Remake later down the line. There are a few other games that I would like to play, like Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes and Metroid Prime. I really don’t like the fact that the GameCube won’t come with a memory card, or at least one game, but this is something I won’t mind getting. I may need to go to Ebay to buy the games I like to play, but I doubt that Resident Evil will be one of them.
