Now that Super Smash Bros. for 3DS has been released worldwide, game director Masahiro Sakurai has begun revealing some of the game’s secrets. This week, three new characters were officially announced for both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game (spoiler alert!).
Fans of Star Fox, Earthbound, and garlic should be happy to know that Falco, Ness, and Wario are all playable characters. Ness has been in every Smash Bros. title since the original. Falco made his first appearance in Melee while Wario made his debut in Brawl.
There is no indication of moveset differences from previous games, but they are likely to be similar. Expect lots of weird psychic Ness moves, annoying Falco sayings, and pungent Wario farts.
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is available now worldwide. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U has no official release date other than Holiday 2014.
I would have been surprised if any of these characters were left out, even though I honestly wouldn’t mind if Falco got left behind. He’s super annoying.
