EA CFO Blake Jorgensen revealed to GameSpot that Battlefield 5 will return to its military roots.
Jorgensen made the comment during the 2014 UBS Technology Conference. He went on to say that he has already seen the game running and it is turning out to be a “fun, new Battlefield.”
“That will be a return to a battlefield military-style game; more to come on that,” he added.
After a lengthy delay, Battlefield: Hardline will be out March 17, 2015 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
My Opinion:
I can’t say this news is all that surprising. Battlefield: Hardline looks like a nice change of pace, but series’ roots lie within the military shooter genre.

I’m excited for Hard Line .. I really like Visceral Games.
Battlefield 5 Is a core series game, so it wouldn’t be right to be anything other than military.
