After the game’s announcement at E3 earlier this year, Platinum Games’ Scalebound has just recently been trademarked.
Although the trademark was applied back in May in South Africa, the United States application was submitted yesterday, and the reasoning for this is unclear. Other news we get from the document is that the trademark includes both class 9 (games) and class 41 (online games), indicating that Scalebound could potentially have an online component.
Now that Microsoft has finally trademarked the title, more news, trailers, and screenshots could begin to surface. All that is currently known about Scalebound is that it’s an action-adventure game exclusive to the Xbox One with no current release date.
My Opinion:
I have no idea why Microsoft would wait this long but this news could mean that we will start to see more of Scalebound. Because we haven’t heard anything since its announcement, any news about Platinum’s new title is good news. Scalebound is a game I am highly anticipating because it is another reason to get an Xbox One.

I’m curious about this game due to some statements by Hideki Kamiya. Like it will be easier than previous games. What does that actually mean?

Another interesting thing he stated is that it would focus less on quick reflexes and action than a game like Bayonetta or DMC.

Yeah and that’s what I like about Platinum. The track record for flying dragon games is not good, so we will see.
