Square Enix Might Announcing a New Game in December

The December Famitsu magazine was leaked by CS Blog and was translated by Kotaku.

An interview with Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda revealed that Square Enix will be announcing a new game in December 2014. According to the leak Yosuke Matsuda said that Square Enix was working on a new role-playing game for home consoles, which is not a remake.

“Actually, right now, we are readying a new role-playing game for home consoles that isn’t a remake. In December, we’ll start with making an announcement.”

“To avoid misunderstanding, among the forthcoming titles that do not include the home consoles, there are also various games bound for smartphones and PC. There are titles studios outside Japan are developing, too.”

“Starting early next year, I think we’ll be announcing various types of titles. But at this stage, we cannot say which will be for home consoles or portables.”

CS Blog pointed out that in December there is the Jump Fiesta gaming convention in Japan. Furthermore, Square Enix could announce the game at PlayStation Experience.

However, it is important to remember that this is still a leak and we don’t know whether this is 100% true until Famitsu comes out next week.

My Opinion:

I’m really excited about the prospect of a new Square Enix game and I really hope it’s true. Square Enix is already working on Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III; so I’m not sure if they could manage another new game.
