Halo 3: ODST Remaster coming to Xbox One!

343 Industries is working on a Halo 3: ODST remaster for Xbox One as an apology for the problems that users were having with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Bonnie Ross, Head of 343 Industries, made the announcement on Halo Waypoint, Halo’s official blog. Ross stated that the team is now developing Halo 3: ODST which will be upgraded to 1080p and 60fps. Halo 3: ODST will be free for anyone who played Halo: Master Chief Collection online from its launch (11/11/14) to December 19th. For more details on availability, click here.

In addition to the free Halo 3: ODST, Ross also announced that users who have played Halo: Master Chief Collection from launch until last Friday (19/12/14) will get, via a free update, a remaster “Relic” map from Halo 2 which will be running in 1080p and 60fps.

If that was not enough, they also announced that users will be getting: 1 Month of Xbox Live Gold, Exclusive In-Game Nameplate and an Exclusive In-Game Avatar for free as an apology.

My Opinion:

Well done 343 and Microsoft for taking a leaf from Ubisoft’s book and giving their fans a little something for their broken game. However, it should never…never of been released with those problems.
