Microsoft has announced that there will be three editions of Halo 5: Guardians. Halo 5: Guardians will have a Standard Edition, a Limited Edition and a Collector’s Edition!
All editions include the game, but the limited and collector’s editions will include extra physical and digital content. The contents of the editions are as follows:
The Standard Edition will include the game and an exclusive poster; and will retail for $59.99.
The Limited Edition includes everything from the Standard Edition and new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items in a steel book. This edition will retail for $99.99.
Whereas, the Collector’s Edition includes everything from the Limited Edition but also has a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries and will retail for $249.99. Microsoft has stated that more information regarding the statue will be released at a later date.
People can pre-order all editions from the Microsoft store. Right now, only players in North America can pre-order these editions, but Microsoft did state that full details regarding pre-order availability in the rest of the world will be released at a later date.
Halo 5: Guardians Beta is also currently available for those who have Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
To be honest, I am not a fan of this. This announcement was completely unnecessary! I just can’t for the life of me understand why Microsoft would make this announcement and not show the statue that Collector’s Edition will have. This only forces people to pre-order it now (as it will be limited) and possibly cancel it later on if that they don’t want it. It’s just stupid in my opinion.
