Freedom Wars Announcement Incoming

Were you aware that there’s a big Freedom Wars event going on this Saturday? It’s called the “Sinners Festival” and it’ll be taking place in Osaka, Japan. Surprise, surprise, that’s not the actual news story here. The news is a special announcement which is set to take place on stage during the event finale!

The news comes to us via Siliconera from across the “lakes.” Apparently the Panopticon-themed event will be taking place from 11:00 to 18:00 and sounds to be a Freedom Wars fan’s dream event.

If you can’t read that, no worries, I can’t either. Thanks again to Siliconera for pointing out that the last block on the schedule says “Something will happen during the finale at 18:00?! Stick around and keep your eyes on the stage!” Sounds exciting, it’s been rumored that there will be a “G” version of Freedom Wars announced, or a sequel. This humble writer assumes that the “G” version might mean remastered or updated in some way. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Check out more of the event details over on Siliconera!

My Opinion:

Be excited. This game is one of the best titles you can spend time with on the Vita right now and any news about it should make you antsy. Even with the recent pain and torture I experienced with the game, I’m still horrendously ecstatic about this news. I don’t even know what it is yet and I’m hyped. If there’s an announcement of a sequel, hopefully we’ll see the Vita sky-rocket in sales. I had never been the biggest supporter of the Vita (I was on the “boat” when it initially sailed, so to speak), so I didn’t see it for the wonderful piece of tech it is. I have seen the light, and if a new Freedom Wars is all others need to bask in its glory as well, so be it.

Myles K Farrington is one of the MONG Senior Editors and is legitimately wondering where he’s going from here. Keep up with him over on IGN and Twitter as well!
