Hellblade Swings to the PC

Don’t worry, the rather enigmatic Hellblade from Ninja Theory is still going to be releasing on PlayStation 4, but PC gamers can give a conjoined sigh of relief. There’s still not much info on the title, but the developers are excited about this chance to hit another platform.

The news was rather excitedly announced on the Hellblade web site yesterday by Dom Matthews, the self proclaimed “Product Development Ninja” of Ninja Theory. Apparently the developers are so ecstatic due to the additional opportunities that the PC can offer them, and what they can offer the PC gamers.

Matthews mentioned bonuses such as extra playtesting, usability testing, and even modding, as reasons for making the decision to develop the game as a dual-platform title. It sounds as if they plan on taking things head-on and, as one would expect, want to build the game up to be the absolute best it can be.

My Opinion:

Now they just need to show more about the title and reveal… something. All I’ve really seen of Hellblade so far is the original announcement trailer. It was great, it was pretty, and it left me wondering. However, one can only be left to wonder for so long before the lack of information gives way to gamers forgetting the title and it being swept up in the tidal wave of new information as it pertains to other games and releases. I have hopes for Hellblade, but I would have wanted to see more information before they decided to stretch themselves to develop for two platforms.

Myles K Farrington is one of the MONG Senior Editors and is legitimately wondering where he’s going from here. Keep up with him over on IGN and Twitter as well!
