New downloadable campaign content has been announced for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and it’ll feature longtime series character Claptrap.
Developer Gearbox Software announced the new DLC at a PAX South panel, saying that it would give players a new perspective on Claptrap.
“We’ve been working really hard on a campaign DLC that lets you go inside the mind of Claptrap.”
No release date or other information is known about the DLC at this time. MONG will keep you updated as the story develops.
Also announced on the panel was a new playable character for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Lady Hammerlock. She is the sister of Sir Hammerlock from Borderlands 2, and will be a sniper character available for download on Tuesday, January 27th.
A new Borderlands game was “teased” at the event as well. Read more on that here.
My Opinion:
Tons of Borderlands news is coming out of PAX South, and I think fans will agree that is a good thing. I am not a huge fan of the series, though I fully understand its appeal and do enjoy it a lot when I play. I like that they are doing DLC on Claptrap, since he’s probably my favorite character from the series. I also like how Gearbox supports their games with a lot of additional content, including new playable characters. All is well in Borderlands world!

Any big Borderlands players on here? Do you plan to pick up DLC for The Pre-Sequel or are you done with the game? I figure some will be waiting for the PS4 or X1 versions!
