February’s Games With Gold Lineup Revealed

Are you ready to know which free Xbox games you’ll be getting next month?  Good news!  Microsoft has just announced Xbox’s Games With Gold lineup for February!

All month long, Xbox One owners will get It Draws A Red Box, also known as #IDARB, a crowdsourced game that is described as 2D basketball meets Killer Instinct.

Xbox 360 owners will be able to download Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons from February 1st to the 15th. Brothers is an “emotional, atmospheric puzzle platformer” according to the Xbox Wire.

During the second half of the month, from February 16th to the 28th, Xbox 360 owners will be able to grab Sniper Elite V2, a third-person shooter that takes place during World War II.

Remember, the only way to download these titles is if you are an Xbox Live Gold member!  So be sure if you haven’t already to sign up and download them while they are available next month!

My Opinion:

Not a bad month if I do say so myself.  While Games With Gold still doesn’t compare to the likes of PlayStation Plus each and every month, Brothers is supposed to be a REALLY good game and I’ve heard a lot of cool things about Sniper Elite as well.  I’m very interested to try #IDARB because of its wacky description.  Though I am still struggling to figure out why Microsoft continues to only offer one Xbox One game each month.

  1. Why is MS offering this arcade or retro games for our shiny xone machines ?! On the MS XBox Gold Live site there is a label “two free games every month”, why is here only one for xone?
