Microsoft announced their financial results for the 2nd quarter of the 2015 fiscal year and it looks pretty good.
Firstly, we get to see the latest financial figures which show how well the company is doing as a whole.
Moreover, Microsoft revealed that 6.6 million Xbox Ones and Xbox 360s were shipped during the last quarter. However, no information was revealed for how many Xbox 360s and Xbox Ones were sold apart from “Xbox 360 sales declined.” The graph seen below also includes Surface Pro 3 sales as well.
Finally, the graph below shows profit made by first party games, Xbox Live, Windows 365, online advertising and Bing. The revenue made by first party software is up 79%, which has been driven up by “Minecraft, following the acquisition of Mojang, Halo: The Masterchief Collection, Forza Horizon 2.”

This financial report is great news for Microsoft as a whole and the Xbox brand in particular. I am surprised though at how quickly Xbox 360 sales are decreasing.
