When Dead or Alive 5: Last Round launches on February 17th, it will boast the largest roster (34 fighters) and costume selection (over 300 costumes) in the history of the fighting series. All of the classic characters will appear, along with the return of Raidou and new combatant Honoka. Raidou returns from the first Dead or Alive, this time as an undead cyborg with amnesia. The 18 year old Japanese school girl Honoka debuts in this iteration, and possesses the largest chest of any character in the game. Besides being quite busty, Honoka has an uncanny ability for learning any fighting move she sees. She combines her favorite moves from various styles for her own creation known as “Honoka Fu.”
DOA 5: Last Round will be the third and final update to the original Dead or Alive 5 released back in 2012. It is the most complete edition of DOA 5 and will only be available digitally for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Retail copies of the title will be made available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PC version of the game has been delayed until March 30th. Watch the trailer below for all the wall-smashing, counter-attack reversals, and tag-team action available soon.
My Opinion:
I own the original Dead or Alive 5 on the PlayStation 3 and really enjoy the game. It’s hard to imagine someone interested in the game wouldn’t have picked it up by now, but if they hadn’t this looks to be the best version to buy. I am glad this will be the final update, as I look forward to seeing what they do with the next entry in the series.
