Fatal Frame V Could Come To North America

Yesterday, Tomonobu Itagaki, who is best known for the Dead or Alive and the modern Ninja Gaiden series, hinted that the Wii U exclusive Fatal Frame V,  or Fatal Frame: Oracle of the Sodden Raven as it’s known in Japan, could come to North America.

While replying to a question on Facebook, Itagaki had this you say:

“Hey guys, I strongly believe that Kikuchi Keisuke will release the Fatal Frame V in America, in many countries. He and me have same philosophy from Tecmo days. That’s what I can say for now. I want you guys to read between the lines. Anyway I will play this game.”

It should be pointed out that Tomonobu Itagaki has no real say of the game’s release because he is not working on it. Instead, he is working on his own game Devil’s Third, an action game exclusive for the Wii U. So it is entirely possible that Fatal Frame V won’t release to the U.S. Still, this small bit of news can give U.S fans hope that it will come to North America.

Fatal Frame V has been out since September 2014 in Japan without real news of its release to North America.

My Opinion:

If Fatal Frame V does come to North America, it would be a Wii U game that I would love to play. I played Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly for the PlayStation 2 and thought it was creepy. It felt like a blend between Silent Hill and Resident Evil. So yes, I do want this to be released in North America.
