Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number out March 10th

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, the long-awaited sequel to Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital’s gruesome masterpiece Hotline Miami, will be out March 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

The developer shared a series of cryptic messages last month that hinted at the game’s release date.  However, they never officially revealed anything.  Today, the studio took to Twitter to make the announcement.

A standard edition and special edition, which includes the game’s soundtrack, are now available for pre-order on Steam.  Those who pre-order the standard edition or the “Digital Special Edition” from Steam will receive a 10% discount.

Devolver Digital describes Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number as the final episode in the saga:

“A brutal conclusion to the gruesome saga, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number follows the escalating level of violence through multiple factions born from the events of the original game and driven by uncertain motivations. Step into the murderous mind of several distinct characters – each with their own motivations and methods of execution – as storylines intersect and reality slips away into a haze of neon and carnage. Blistering combat, an unmistakable visual style, and a powerfully intense soundtrack will once again push you to the limit and questioning your own thirst for blood.”

Be sure to check back next month for our review of Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

My Opinion:

Hotline Miami is a modern classic, and I couldn’t be more excited for the sequel.  The original quickly became one of my favorite games and I can’t wait to see what Dennaton Games has in store for us this time.  Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will also feature a level editor, something that should hold my interest for a very long time.
