Hi-Rez Studios has revealed that gamers who play Smite on PC will be able to transfer all of their purchases and progress over to the Xbox One version when it launches.

For those unfamiliar with Smite, it is a free-to-play online MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) that mixes in real-time action strategy.  Players get to choose a god, immortal, or creature from ancient mythology to play as.

Smite is about the start its close beta soon, and is scheduled to launch on Xbox One later this year.

My Opinion:

This is a really cool concept.  And a really good idea.  I hate when players are limited by which console they choose to purchase a game.  Since this is the case, I may try it out on PC first before deciding to download it on Xbox One later.
