Game of the Month: February 2015

The time has come!  Our official Game of the Month for February 2015 is…

It makes me proud to announce that The Order: 1886 has won our Game of the Month!  I have said all along that it was an extremely unique experience and that it deserves our respect and admiration — this just goes to show that I wasn’t the only one who felt that way.

However, to my surprise, The Order: 1886 beat out The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D by a mere two points!  Talk about a close call!

The Order: 1886 is the epitome of what we love about PlayStation first party games — they are not afraid to take risks and do something different.  Sure, it could have been more like Gears of War or Heavy Rain, but it would have got flack for that.  Instead, Ready at Dawn developed a unique game that blends genres we love to make an incredible experience.

I was lucky enough to review The Order: 1886 for us.  I gave the new IP an 8.7 out of 10, citing things like the fun gunplay, beautiful graphics, and an awesome story that is packed with incredibly deep lore.

The Order is not a perfect game by any means, but it did enough to make us all extremely excited about it as a franchise going forward, and more than enough to win Game of the Month for February 2015.
