Xbox gamers get a double dose of gold in April as the Games with Gold program celebrates 100 million downloads.
For the Xbox One, the two games include the pool simulator Pool Nation FX, which boasts realistic lighting and physics as well as online matches with customizable rules. Owners will also get the charming Ubisoft adventure RPG Child of Light. Follow Aurora as she must travel through the kingdom of Lemuria in order to come home. Both of these games will be available all month long.
For the Xbox 360, four games share the two halves of April. The most recent Gears of War game, Gears of War: Judgement, as well as Terraria, also known as a 2D version of Minecraft, will share the beginning of the month, from April 1-15. The second part of the month will be filled by the swashbuckling antics of Edward Kenway in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, where the two must fight against a ruthless drug cartel in Mexico.
As always, be sure to get March’s Games with Gold before they leave forever.
Well, this is slightly disappointing. I know that to complain about free games is stupid, but these offerings baffle me at times, especially when some of what PlayStation Plus offers are Cross-Buy. For example, Child of Light would most likely be on PS3, PS4 and Vita if it was offered on the PlayStation side of things. I will most likely enjoy the majority of these, especially Child of Light, but I wish we would have gotten something else besides Pool Nation FX.
