Nintendo recently hinted at its next-generation console, codenamed NX. We know nothing about it, other than the assumption that it will play Mario games. Well, now thanks to an interview with Nikkei, we know… slightly more than nothing.
As translated by Kotaku, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata declined to mention specifics about NX, but did refer to it briefly:
…If you only expand upon existing hardware, it’s dull. In some shape or form, we’re always thinking about how we want to surprise players as well as our desire to change each person’s video gaming life.
Sounds like Nintendo is looking to broaden gaming’s horizons, as usual. We may hear more about Nintendo NX at E3 this June.
My Opinion:
As a lifelong Nintendo fan, I look forward to what the big N has to offer. I imagine it will be like other systems, where I have dreams that I’m playing it and then wake up disappointed, only to buy it on launch day and then not have time to play it very often. Wheeee!

I’m already surprised it isn’t called the Wii Woo Twoo., guess they fired the naming guy who was slacking like all hell.
