Microsoft has released a set of trailers for the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians that reveal the hotly anticipated game’s release date.

The trailers portray two takes on the future events of the Halo Universe, one through the eyes of a Spartan named Locke, and the other through the perspective of Master Chief. The trailers can be viewed below.

Halo 5: Guardians will be released on October 27, 2015 exclusively for Xbox One.

My Opinion:

I think Microsoft has picked a perfect date to release Halo 5. While October has in the past years been a contentious time for video games, this year it is looking pretty wide open release wise. Halo 5 looks like it will get out of the gate strong, and the holiday season will bump those sales even higher. I’m expecting to see record breaking sales for Halo 5.
