Possible Mass Effect 4 details leak through survey

One of publisher EA’s most anticipated titles of this generation may have a leak in its hull. A Reddit user shared what he learned while taking a survey for the upcoming sci-fi opus.

Allegedly, Mass Effect 4 will take place in the Helius Cluster, instead of the Milky Way where the original trilogy took place. You play as an inexperienced “Pathfinder” whose story is “far removed by time and space from Commander Shepard’s heroic acts and the final events of the Mass Effect trilogy,” according to the survey.

While you are star treking these new solar systems, that are four times larger than the systems in Mass Effect 3, you’ll run into some “cut-throat outlaws” and a mysterious alien race known as “The Remnant,” whose technology “holds the key to gaining power in this region of the galaxy.”

Also new to the series is building colonies and strike teams to carry out assigned tasks while you’re out doing missions. Possibly taking a page from Dragon Age: Inquisition. Expect to see “Horde mode” multiplayer, and the recruitment of your own special team of seven individuals whose lives will become entwined with yours. Now as a reminder, let’s take this with a whopping bowl of salt, because this information is from an unauthenticated survey that was posted on Reddit, and has since been deleted.

My Opinion:

It’s very obvious that BioWare is using what worked well in Dragon Age: Inquisition for their next Mass Effect. All these rumors just jettisoned this game right near the top of my most anticipated games coming, behind Dark Souls 3, if that exists.

Bryan McCutchan buys more games than he can play. He’s not good with his money. Go hassle him on Facebook and Twitter
