Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight will be releasing on Xbox One next week!
Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, made the announcement via Twitter. On Twitter, Hryb originally announced that Shovel Knight will be available for the Xbox One this week.
However, he later tweeted that he was mistaken; the actual release date for the Xbox One version of Shovel Knight will be April 28th.
Shovel Knight also released today on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4. Shovel Knight was originally on Kickstarter and, after being successfully backed, later released on PC, Wii U, and 3DS. It was met with critical acclaim, selling over 300,000 copies as of December of last year. You can read our review here.
My Opinion:
Finally I can play Shovel Knight! Ever since Lou reviewed the game last June, I have been waiting to get to play it. Of course, I didn’t own a 3DS at that point (now I do!) or a Wii U, and my PC is, well…it’s not fit to play games so I had no opportunity to play it but now I do. I can’t wait to play it come next week!
