A new installment in the Danganronpa series was announced during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show conference.
Little was revealed about Danganronpa 3, but if the trailer’s setting is anything to go by, it will take place in a school environment like in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc rather than the tropical island environment that was used in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.
Similar to its predecessors, Danganronpa 3 will be released on PlayStation Vita, and will be the first in the series to release on the PlayStation 4. No sort of release date or window was given, but it was teased there will be more to come.
I am very excited about this, but I wonder why they are bringing it to PS4. All of the prior games were Vita exclusive, and they all tie heavily into one another. Unless they release the other games for PS4, I cannot see this bringing in a new audience.
