UFC fans wondering when they can step back into the Octagon on their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, wait no longer. EA Sports has announced the release date for EA Sports UFC 2. EA Sport’s second go round with the UFC launches March 15 in North America and March 17 worldwide. Accompanying the news was an official gameplay trailer highlighting some of the biggest moments of UFC action from last year.
Two of the biggest moments belonged to the games cover athletes, Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey. While Ronda Rousey closed the year with a major defeat and Conor McGregor capped it off with a triumphant victory, both fighters remain two of the most recognizable names in the sport. To see their highs and lows recreated in video game form, watch the gameplay trailer below.
I never got around to playing the first game in the series, as I didn’t have a PS4 at the time. From what I read, it excelled in the graphics department but lacked in gameplay. Hopefully with EA Sports UFC 2 they have beefed up the controls to match the pretty visuals. Unfortunately the fighters will be sporting the unimaginative Reebok uniforms this year, another reason to dislike the sponsorship deal.
