Are you looking for a new title to play on your PlayStation Vita? Aren’t we all? Well, Yomawari: Night Alone will be releasing on the PlayStation Store and Steam on October 25th in North America.
Developed by Nippon Ichi Software, this survival horror game tells the tale of a young girl and her dog Poro out for an evening stroll. When tragedy strikes and the girl comes home with only the dog’s leash, the girl’s sister demands she stay home, but instead ventures into the night in search of poor Poro. When the girl disobeys her sister’s orders and goes into the darkness herself, things take a turn according to the game’s website.
“Outside, she realizes that this is not the same town. The darkness has made the town unfamiliar, and she appears to be utterly alone…save for the spirits that stalk her. The girl must hide from, outsmart, or outrun the hunting spirits while she searches for clues to find her loved ones.”
The game will be getting both a retail and digital release for the PlayStation Vita version. It will also release on October 28th in Europe.
My Opinion:
Well, looks like this one is coming out just in time for Halloween. I do worry a little that this sounds and looks quite a bit like htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, which earned a whopping 3 out of 10 when Middle of Nowhere Gaming reviewed it, but maybe this one will stand on its own merits. After all, Nippon Ichi Software has been mighty good to the Vita – Criminal Girls, anyone?
