Mafia III Collector’s Edition Details Announced

Today, 2K has finally revealed what will be in the $150 Collector’s Edition of Mafia III.

For $150, you get the following:

Mafia III Official Soundtrack of New Bordeaux:

180 gram vinyl pressing. It’ll contain a few songs of the in-game soundtrack that will give you a taste of the massive library of songs the game is expected to have.

Mafia III Original Score Soundtrack:

There will also be an original score soundtrack, and much like the Soundtrack of New Bordeaux, it’ll come in 180 gram vinyl pressing.

Exclusive Collectible Art Prints:

Two lithographs from Playboy and the Alberto Vargas Estate that represents some of the in-game collectibles.

The Art of Mafia III Collectible Art Book:

A 56-page book that shows what it took to create New Bordeaux based off of New Orleans from Summer 1968

Lincoln Clay Replica Dog Tags:

A replica of the main character’s dog tags from the time he served in Vietnam.

Faux Leather Establishment Drink Coasters:

These are from the Casino and one of the places Lincoln Clay will try to destroy for revenge.

Season Pass:

There will be DLC, but 2K has not mentioned what is included with it.

There will also be an $80 Deluxe Edition, which will come with the Season Pass.

Mafia III is about a man who returns from Vietnam and rejoins The Black Mob. When they are attacked and all but Lincoln Clay dies, he decides to create a new mob organization to take down the Italian Mafia. The Scaletta Family, from Mafia II,  will be joining him as well.

Mafia III will arrive for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 7th.

My Opinion:

From what I’ve seen so far, the game is shaping up to be something good. I hope that the game is worth the wait. You get a lot of cool stuff for this collector’s edition. Most of the time, it’s a statue, but here you’ll get stuff you can actually use like the vinyls and the coasters. I seriously doubt that I’ll get the Collector’s Edition, but I can see myself getting the game at some point. If nothing comes out in October, I just might get it day one.
