The problem? Sony. Why is Studio Wildcard’s ARK: Survival Evolved taking so long to release on PlayStation 4? Well according to the developer in a recent forum post, the issue is with Sony.
“As for the PS4 Release of ARK: Survival Evolved, it is currently up to Sony. We’ve been informed that we can’t release the game on this platform until it has been finished.
“We would like nothing more than to make ARK available on PS4 as soon as possible, as we already have an awesome PS4 version of the game running internally. If you would like to see it sooner, please let Sony know, as it’s unfortunately not our decision.”
Ark: Survival Evolved is currently available through Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview, and is technically not “finished.” And because Sony lacks any type of early access program, ARK: Survival Evolved will not come to it until it’s complete — whenever that is.
My Opinion:
I don’t get it. Paragon is not yet finished, and it was released onto the PS4 via a starter kit (with an open beta planned in the near future). Is that not the same thing? Oh Sony. Well PS4 players, no awesome dinos for you.
