The only way this game can get more awesome, is if they add a Michael Cera flag.
Today, Psyonix announced a new mode for Rocket League — Rumble Mode, which introduces a range of zany power-ups in a battle royale-style setting.
The mode is set to roll out some time in September, and will be available in both online playlists, and in private/exhibition matches.
Here is a full list of all the power-ups:
- The Boot (Kicks an opponent’s car)
- Disruptor (Forces your opponent to drive uncontrollably)
- Freezer (Freezes the ball in-place)
- Grappling Hook (Pulls you towards the ball)
- Haymaker (Punches the ball)
- Magnetizer (Attracts the ball to your car)
- Plunger (Grabs the ball via plunger and cord)
- Power Hitter (Allows you to hit everything harder)
- Spike (Attach the ball to your car when you bump into it)
- Swapper (Change positions on the field with your opponent)
- Tornado (Sweep up the ball and opposing cars into a giant funnel cloud)
Per usual, because Psyonix loves you, the content is completely free.
My Opinion:
I fell out with Rocket League when Overwatch released. But then a few days ago I fell out with Overwatch and back into Rocket League…until No Man’s Sky releases anyway.
