Bandai Namco has announced a publishing agreement with Swedish game developer Tarsier Studios for a new game called Little Nightmares, formerly known as Hunger.
In addition to the official announcement, Bandai Namco also released a new teaser trailer. The trailer provides hardly any salient information, but it does reveal the tone of the game — which appears to be a mysterious/dark type.
Little Nightmares follows a “dark, yet whimsical tale” that sees player s confront their childhood fears as they help a little, yellow raincoat wearing girl escape the clutches of The Maw — a vast, mysterious vessel that has been corrupted by souls seeking their next meal.
No further information was divulged. Bandai Namco has promised more information at Gamescom.
My Opinion:
It’s hard to have an opinion with such little information. But the teaser trailer looks cool and eerie. And I like cool and eerie, so I guess that’s good news. Additionally, from the look of the trailer and the studio, this is likely a smaller, $20 game.
