Step into the Octagon next month with Rocket League.
Psyonix has announced a new arena as well as two new variants of classic fields. The additions are due in September.
The new arena is called Octagon, and is VR-themed like other Rocket Lab Arenas. Per usual, it will support both online and offline Exhibition play.
The two new field variants will include Urban Central (dawn) and DFH Stadium (stormy). The two will be included in online, offline, and ranked play.
Images of the two new fields can be seen below:
As of right now the addition has no specific release date. As always, the three new maps will be free.
My Opinion:
I have had little use for all of the Rocket Lab Arenas, as they change the fabric of the game far too much for my liking. However, the addition of new field variants will also be a welcomed inclusion.
