Today, Ubisoft revealed the release date for Steep on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Steep, Ubisoft’s snowboarding, skiing, paragliding, and general action sports game, has been given a December 2nd release date. Additionally, the publisher also released a new trailer to celebrate the announcement.
Ubisoft also revealed in a press release earlier that a standard edition as well as a gold edition are now available for pre-order. Pre-ordering either version will get you The Moonlight Pack, which includes additional challenges and equipment:
Here’s everything included in the Moonlight Pack:
- Three extra night challenges
- Three new night outfits
- Glowing equipment for each activity (ski, snowboard, wingsuit and paragliding)
- Wingsuit Sparkle Flare
The gold edition comes with game’s season pass (which hasn’t yet been detailed). Though, we do know, per usual, the season pass will give you access to all major expansions and all other DLC.
There will be a new location shortly after the launch of the game as well. This add-on will take the action to Alaska (the base game takes place in the Alps) and will be free.
You can still sign up for the upcoming Steep beta via the official website. There’s currently no date yet for when that will start.
Steep will release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 2nd.
My Opinion:
I want to like this game really badly, but everything I’ve seen so far has left me with a meh feeling. Personally, I wish they would cut out all but the game’s snowboarding and focus just on that.
