Maximum Games has announced a release date for its upcoming realistic snowboarding game Infinite Air. The date? October 25th.
Accompanying the announcement, was a new gameplay trailer:
Additionally the dev revealed five new professional snowboarders: Mark McMorris, who anchors the game and is its cover star, Silje Norendal, Torstein Horgmo, Danny Davis, Ulrik Badertscher, and McMorris’ brother, Craig McMorris. All are playable in the title.
What is Infinite Air?
Well, it’s a snowboarding game that emphasizes realism, and features an open-world comprised of procedurally generated shred-able mountains. You can explore, place objects to jump off (do a triple backflip maybe?), and compete in competitions and backcountry carving.
Infinite Air releases October 25th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $49.99.
My Opinion:
I really want a new, great snowboarding game — but I’m personally looking for a more arcadey one, not an ultra-realistic one. Alas, I might still check this one out if it reviews well.
