Those pre-ordering World of Final Fantasy digitally can expect some extra perks.
Square Enix has announced that World of Final Fantasy pre-orders from the PlayStation Store will be getting exclusive DLC in addition to the bonuses in the Day One Edition. Here they are for your eyes:
- A PlayStation 4 theme that features some of the game’s characters and Mirages.
- Two special in-game Mirages to aid in battle: Cactuar Johnny and Crimson Armor.
The Day One Edition will also include the White Chocobo, Glow Moogle, and Bonnetberry Mirages, as well as a Sephiroth summon and Japanese voice-over option.
World of Final Fantasy’s Mirages are in-game monsters that the player can collect to aid in combat, environment traversal, and puzzle solving. The game will release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on October 25th.
These aren’t the biggest DLC exclusives possible, but these things are rarely all that large of an incentive to pre-order. Still, I find it interesting that Square Enix is encouraging gamers to buy the game digitally. Perhaps looking for a stronger attachment rate?
