During PlayStation’s conference at TGS 2016 Square Enix revealed that Kingdom Hearts 2.8 — in classic Kingdom Heart’s fashion — has been delayed from its previous release window of December 2016 to January 24th. Unless you’re in Japan, in which case you will be getting the game on the 12th of the same month.
The news specifically breaks from a new trailer, which you can watch here:
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is a rerelease of sorts. It includes a full HD remaster of 3DS entry Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, a movie that covers major backstory events, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2, a short playable side-story that helps to tee up Kingdom Hearts 3 while giving fans a taste of its combat and visuals, since it’s built in KH3’s engine.
Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is set to release exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
My Opinion:
I think it’s standard at this point that every Kingdom Hearts game get delayed at least once. If it doesn’t — is it truly a Kingdom Hearts game?
