The future of robotics is a future filled with the promise of convenience and safety. That is until the robots eventually turn on their creators as they always seem to eventually do. Epic Games has fun with that premise in their new Oculus Rift game, Robo Recall.
Robo Recall is the spiritual successor to Epic’s Bullet Train demo and is designed specifically for the new Oculus Touch controllers. While the Oculus Touch certainly isn’t cheap, Robo Recall will be free. Releasing in early 2017, Robo Recall features fast paced, arcade action with the player destroying rogue robots in all manner of ways.
Watch just a few ways to send bots to robot heaven in the trailer below.
My Opinion:
Robo Recall is visually impressive, has a sense of humor, and seems like a lot of fun. With the high entry price point of the Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch, it is cool to see the experience offered for free.
