Play World of Final Fantasy Early!

Square Enix has announced that a World of Final Fantasy playable demo will be available on the PlayStation Store early next week.

Eager to sink their teeth into Square Enix’s newest Final Fantasy title? Morbidly curious to see what World of Final Fantasy is all about? Just looking for any substitute for Kingdom Hearts on the long road it is to be a fan of that series? The World of Final Fantasy demo will be available for you on the PlayStation Store come October 17.

According to Square Enix, the demo will be a hearty sampling of what players can expect from the full version.

“The playable demo will allow players to experience heroes Reynn and Lann in their Lilikin and Jiant forms, meet various different Mirages and encounter a selection of iconic FINAL FANTASY® characters along the way, including Cloud, Lightning and Squall.”

For those picking up the game, completing the demo will allow players to battle and capture “Magitek Armor P” at the coliseum in the full version.

You want more World of Final Fantasy news? Well, along with the playable demo announcement, Square released the game’s opening cinematic. Just in case you were worried there’d be no alternative animation style in the game, feast your eyes on some anime goodness around 0:56.

World of Final Fantasy releases for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on October 25. We recently detailed how the two versions of the game compare.

My Opinion:

Ok, I cannot be the only one getting some serious Digimon vibes from that trailer.

Look forward to our early impressions of World of Final Fantasy after the demo releases next week.
