Dreams Beta Stays in Slumber for 2016, Awakens Next Year

Updates on Media Molecule’s ambitious PlayStation 4 title Dreams have been dormant lately. Now a post on the developer’s blog reveals the Dreams beta previously announced for this year has been delayed.

The chief culprit behind the delay is the sheer scope of the game. Simply put, Dreams is really big. In order to fully realize their vision, the team has chosen not to compromise and instead focus on making their dreams for the game a reality. For Media Molecule, “…Dreams isn’t just about drawing, or sculpting, but also game creation, storytelling, animation, music, and sound..”

My Opinion:

It’s not a surprise the beta has been delayed. Dreams really does seem like an ambitious title with a ton of possibilities. If Media Molecule is able to realize its vision it could lead to some amazing experiences, especially in PSVR.
