As Injustice 2 moves closer to release, developer NetherRealm Studios continues to unveil new characters joining the roster. The latest reveal is a new entrant for the series, Swamp Thing.

Gameplay footage of Swamp Thing comes courtesy of the IGN First series. The green giant can be seen in action putting his plant-based offense to full effect. Swamp Thing is able to use plant vines to grab and slam opponents, as well as utilizing tree branches as spikes to guard against jumping attacks. My Opinion:

When it comes to DC characters, Swamp Thing isn’t one I have much familiarity with. After seeing him in action, I have to say he looks like a lot of fun to play as. His swamp level looked really cool and his super move shown at the end is one of the best I have seen. I’m still hoping that Static Shock or John Constantine will be revealed down the road as well.
