Episodic game releases have emerged as a trend in the videogame industry recently, most notably with Telltale Games. Yet, the developer isn’t the only one to find success through that avenue, as Dontnod Entertainment achieved both critical and commercial success with Life is Strange.
Good news for fans of the game have emerged as the developer announced another Life is Strange game will be happening. On a Square Enix blog post, Dontnod revealed it has “..reached over 3 million unique paying players!” and confirmed a new game in the series is in development, but will not be at E3 this year. Check out the video below to see the team expressing their gratitude and delivering the good news.
It’s good to hear another Life is Strange game is coming, as I know a lot of people were big fans of it. The characters seem to resonate with gamers in a unique way and I plan to check it off my backlog list before the next game in the series arrives.
