Red Dead Redemption 2 Shifts to Spring 2018 Release

One of the most anticipated games this year has now been delayed. Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 will slip from Fall 2017 to Spring 2018.

On Rockstar’s website the developers apologized for the day, but stated the game needed extra time in order to “…deliver the best experience possible for our fans.” While the game won’t release on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One until next year, Rockstar did reveal more news for Red Dead Redemption 2 would be coming this summer and shared a new batch of screenshots. Check them out below.

My Opinion:

The news isn’t really surprising as Rockstar is known for delays. I doubt the company was worried about any fall competition, as I expect RDR2 will be a big seller no matter what part of the year it releases. If anything, I suspect the publishers of the big 2017 releases are somewhat relieved.
