Dragon Ball FighterZ Powers Up 2D Fighting Action

There have been many games produced from the anime universe of Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball FighterZ is the latest title and is going back to basics with classic 2D fighting action.

Bandai Namco unveiled the first look at Dragon Ball FighterZ during Microsoft’s E3 2017 Press Conference. The fighting game runs on Unreal Engine 4 and is developed by Arc System Works.

Sporting stylish anime graphics, 3-versus-3 combat, aerial combos, and destructible stages, Dragon Ball FighterZ is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC worldwide in early 2018. Six characters have been announced so far: Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Cell, Freiza, and Majin Buu. A closed beta will be coming this summer for the PS4 and XB1.  Check out the game in action below.

My Opinion:

I’m really excited for this game, as DBZ was the first anime I got into and 2D fighters were the beginning of my love for fighting games. Arc Systems Works is perfect for this as the developer has the fighting and graphical chops as evidenced by both its Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series.
